Use these steps if your SpotOn receipt printer or kitchen printer has stopped printing. Try them in order.

1 Check that it's plugged in and powered on
Make sure the power cable is firmly plugged in at the back of the printer and at the wall or power strip. Look for the power switch on the back or underside and confirm it's ON. The light on the front should be solid green when it's ready.
If this works: Green light comes on — try printing again.
2 Turn the printer off and back on
Flip the power switch off (or unplug it). Wait 30 seconds. Turn it back on and wait for the green light to come on steady. Then try printing from the SpotOn station.
If this works: Printer responds and prints a ticket.
3 Check the paper (or ribbon for kitchen printers)
Receipt printer (Epson — white thermal paper): Open the paper cover on top. If empty, load a new roll. The shiny side of the paper should face up and toward you. If jammed, pull the paper straight out, reload, and close the cover until it clicks.

Kitchen printer (Logic Controls LR2000 — impact printer): Open the top cover. If the printout looks faint or blank, the ink ribbon cartridge needs replacing — slide the old one out and snap a new one in. Also check for jammed paper in the slot. Note: this printer does NOT use thermal paper — regular bond paper only.
If this works: Printer prints normally after reloading paper or replacing ribbon.
4 Receipts printing blank? Do the scratch test
Receipt printers only: scratch the paper with your fingernail. One side will leave a dark mark — that's the printable side. It should be facing up toward you when loaded. If it's backwards, flip the roll over and try again.
⚠️ Heads up: If the router was recently restarted and the kitchen printer stopped receiving orders, the printer's network address may have changed. This is a setting we need to fix on our end — submit a ticket or call (716) 259-2080.
