Use these steps if your SpotOn station is frozen, won't load, or showing "Offline Mode." Try these in order before submitting a ticket.

1 Close and reopen SpotOn
Press Alt + F4 on the keyboard to close the program (or click the X in the top-right corner). Wait 10 seconds. Then double-click the SpotOn icon on the desktop. Give it about 60–90 seconds to load back up.
If this works: SpotOn comes back to the order screen — you're good to go.
2 Restart the station
Click the Start button (Windows icon) → Power → Restart. If the screen is completely frozen, hold the power button on the side or back of the screen for 5–10 seconds until it shuts off. Wait 30 seconds, then press power to turn it back on. Give it 2–3 minutes to fully start up — SpotOn should open on its own.
If this works: Station is back up and SpotOn loads to the login screen.
3 Check the network cable
Look at the back of the station for the internet cable (looks like a thick phone cord). Make sure it's pushed all the way in at both ends. There should be a small green light near where it plugs in. If there's no green light, try unplugging and re-plugging the cable, then restart the station (Step 2).
4 Seeing "Offline Mode"? That's okay — keep running
If SpotOn shows an "Offline Mode" or "Working Offline" message but you can still ring up orders and take payments — you're fine. SpotOn is designed to keep working without internet. Keep taking orders. Try restarting your router: unplug it for 60 seconds, plug it back in, wait 2 minutes.
If this works: Internet comes back and the "Offline Mode" message goes away on its own.
⚠️ Heads up: If you're in Offline Mode, do NOT shut down or restart your stations — this can erase orders that haven't synced yet. Keep running until internet comes back.
Still not working?
